American History in Washington, D.C.

Offer your students an opportunity to explore American History in Washingon, DC on this 5-day trip enriching trip. We have arranged an educational trip to our historic nation’s capital so that teachers can witness the Constitutional Underpinnings of the United States Government with their students.  During this trip, students will explore the evolution of Culture and Society and the origins of Political Parties, Interest Groups, and Mass Media.


DAY 1 

  • Arrive in Washington, D.C.
  • Meet your Tour Director
  • Visit the Newseum
  • Guided tour of Washington, D.C. including ,The Washington Monument, The Lincoln Memorial, the Dr. MLK Memorial, White House photo stop, World War II memorial, FDR Memorial, and more!
  • Drive to Williamsburg, VA
  • Dinner
  • Check-in to hotel


DAY 2 

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Visit Busch Gardens Williamsburg (Available only in Spring and Summer)
  • Historic Jamestown  (Explore Work, Exchange, and Technology in Fall and Winter)
  • Return to Washington, D.C.


DAY 3 

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Participate in a customized “Culture and Society” workshop
  • National Museum of the American Indian
  • National Museum of African American History and Culture
  • Take a dinner cruise on the Potomac River



  • Breakfast at hotel
  • “The Battles that Shaped America” customized workshop
  • Gettysburg Battlefield and National Military Park
  • Arlington National Cemetery
  • Visit the International Spy Museum with Student Scavenger Hunt
  • Dinner

  • Visit the National Archives Museum
  • Visit the National Museum of American History
  • Visit Ford’s Theatre Museum and Petersen House (time permitting)
  • Return Home
