Spain’s Premier Cities
Students will experience the diverse culture on this Spain trip with visits to its three largest cities, beginning in the capital city of Madrid; continuing to Valencia, the home of paella; and ending their journey in the enchanting capital of Catalonia – Barcelona. An excursion to Toledo, with its daunting medieval walls, offers insights into three major cultures – Christians, Jews, and Arabs. In addition to visiting the iconic sites and major museums of each of the cities, students will participate in a bullfighting workshop, tour a soccer club, and enjoy a Flamenco show. Highlights of the visit to Spain’s premier cities include the Palacio Real; the World Heritage site of Toledo; the Oceanographic, Europe’s largest aquarium; and the Basilica of La Sagrada Familia, Gaudi’s most famous and incomplete work.
