DiscoverU

The College Prep Symposium

Empowering students to discover their passions and purpose.

As college admissions become ever more competitive, parents and students are increasingly overwhelmed by deadlines, essays, writing prompts, and building a resume that’s eye-catching and authentic. The College Prep Symposium by DiscoverU provides the mentorship and coaching that students need to direct their efforts toward what matters most with college readiness and preparation.

Curriculum Overview

This dynamic six-day program is designed to provide students with a robust foundation for college readiness through two specialized tracks. Rising seniors will focus on completing their college applications, gaining the tools and guidance needed to craft compelling personal statements, polish their resumes, and navigate the complexities of the admissions process.

Meanwhile, rising sophomores and juniors will engage in SAT preparation and college exploration, gaining exposure to the college experience while developing the academic skills necessary for future success. Both tracks emphasize interactive learning and practical application, ensuring that students leave feeling confident and inspired.

The educator-created curriculum is intentionally structured to balance rigorous academic preparation with fun, engaging activities. Students will participate in workshops, collaborative exercises, and simulations that make the college application process and SAT preparation approachable and even enjoyable. By the end of the week, participants will have made significant progress toward their academic and college-readiness goals, building skills, making new friends, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
